Mother Nature made sure that the weather for last nights concert was ideal, a little overcast, not too hot and a great audience turnout. What more could you ask for. We played a good variety of music from London Bridge to Ray Charles and the highlights from many of the “007” James Bond movies. The crowd seemed to enjoy the eclectic selections. The Band received a very great surprise tonight, Dennis Locke, a Past President who left the Band approximately 6 years ago was in attendance with his wife. It was a kind of a homecoming for many of the members of ECCB by having Dennis there, it was great to see him after all these years. Once again we were pleased to have Yvan Baker, MPP, Etobicoke Centre as one of our special guests. It’s a pleasure to have many of our community’s local politicians showing their support for the Band. We thank them for taking time out of their very schedules to attend our various events.
Please join us in 2 weeks, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 for our final “Summer Concert in the Park” at the Applewood/Shaver House, 450 The West Mall beginning at 7:00 pm. We hope that you will tell a friend, neighbour or a family member to come out and listen to Etobicoke’s own concert band as we play “Great Music…Right in your own backyard!”
